How Does your Garden Grow

The boys have been helping Matt dig a spot for a new garden.  There’s lots of talk of tomatoes and peppers and lots of things Sam will never put in his mouth.  There was also mud and worms and dirty little boys. Here they are minutes after their bath admiring all their hard work.  A special thanks to Grandma Barb for the brand new garden tools that let the boys “help” dad!

Will's Second Birthday

We took this year off from birthday parties.  The boys have so many toys so we opted to just have quiet birthday celebrations.  Grandpa Jay came to spend the weekend with Will and we had presents and cake!  Next weekend Grandma Barb and Grandpa Lanny are coming into town to close out Will’s week long celebration.  A lucky boy indeed. It’s very hard waiting to open presents (this was one of 3 meltdowns during present time!) TWO!

Dear Will, How can it be?!  Today you turn two! I can’t believe it.  It feels like you were just born yesterday and at the same time like you’ve been in my life for as long as I can remember. Sometimes I wonder if you are growing up … Read more

Our Long Weekend In

We had a three day weekend this past weekend thanks to President’s Day and I was just a wee bit excited that we had no real plans.  A trip to Little Gym Sunday morning and an impromptu brunch date with friends on Monday were the only things that got us to leave the house. While that much time cooped up in the house tends to make us all a little cranky, I was really looking forward to just locking myself up with the family.  We are finally getting to a point where weekends don’t feel like ALL work.   As the … Read more

Babies to Big Boys

Just a few short days after we discovered this, Will took it upon himself to try to climb out of his crib.  Monkey see, monkey do! After some deep breaths and maybe even a few tears we headed out, brought some big boy bedding (and a video monitor) and converted the boys cribs into toddler beds. Just like that!  In the blink of an eye my babies are big boys.  I can’t believe it.  I remember, like it was yesterday, the first time I laid them down in those cribs.  How teeny tiny they were and how huge the crib … Read more
