Will's Second Birthday

We took this year off from birthday parties.  The boys have so many toys so we opted to just have quiet birthday celebrations.  Grandpa Jay came to spend the weekend with Will and we had presents and cake!  Next weekend Grandma Barb and Grandpa Lanny are coming into town to close out Will’s week long celebration.  A lucky boy indeed. It’s very hard waiting to open presents (this was one of 3 meltdowns during present time!) Will had been asking for a “Mater” cake for the last three months so we had a mater themed evening complete with a new … Read more

TWO!

Dear Will, How can it be?!  Today you turn two! I can’t believe it.  It feels like you were just born yesterday and at the same time like you’ve been in my life for as long as I can remember. The Journey Begins (again!)

Today marks the official start to my 2013 Susan G. Komen 3-day journey. Last year I was incredibly blessed to be walking with a fabulous group of women and together we smashed our fundraising goal.  In … Read more

Our Long Weekend In

We had a three day weekend this past weekend thanks to President’s Day and I was just a wee bit excited that we had no real plans.  A trip to Little Gym Sunday morning and an impromptu brunch date with friends on Monday were the only things that got us to leave the house. While that much time cooped up in the house tends to make us all a little cranky, I was really looking forward to just locking myself up with the family.  We are finally getting to a point where weekends don’t feel like ALL work.   As the … Read more

Just a Little Every Day Magic

Last night we took the boys to dinner and a movie at a local pizzeria. We had a day full of stress and just needed to unwind with our two favorite toddlers. It was raining pretty good when we got to the restaurant. By the time we left it was snowing.  Not just snowing but big, huge whopper snow flakes snowing. Normally I would grab the nearest kid and rush them into the car.  Keep warm.  Keep dry.  And I started to do just that but as I stepped outside holding Will he started laughing at the snow.  His laugh … Read more
