When I moved my site over to WordPress a number of months ago I knew that it would open up a world of options but I just didn’t know how to make those options work for me. Matt helped me some and I cobbled together a blog that I thought was “good enough.” But I was constantly comparing the look and feel of it to other ones that I really admired. It just didn’t feel like me.
But it didn’t make sense for me to spend any money on the blog. I just couldn’t justify the cost to have someone design a logo or header or help me put together a template to make the site feel like it was mine. So I started reading Photo Shop tutorials and studying the blogs and sites that drew me in until I had an idea of how I wanted my blog to feel and the technical skills to translate that vision onto the screen.
This past weekend I was finally ready to jump in with both feet and see what I could do to brighten and lighten this place up and I am pretty proud of the outcome. It feel less bulky, more airy and refined and just a little bit whimsy. I hope you like it as much as I do.
A very special thanks to Matt who answered the question “how does this look?” about a million times this weekend and helped me with a few final details that I just couldn’t manage on my own!
Looks Great Amanda!!
Thanks Catina!
